Why I chose Animas
I chose to come to Animas High School because I actually want to learn. I didn't want to be wandering around a huge building with hundreds of other people who are all doing the same thing. I wanted to be in a small community where the teachers and other students are always willing to help. I didn't want to spend four years doing worksheets and tests; I wanted to actually be able to interact with what I’m doing. I wanted to have teachers that are willing to help the students instead of leaving them behind. I only spent one year in a big public school, and I absolutely hated it. I hated just spending my days getting lost in the building and knowing that no one was going to help you. I hated how the teachers didn't care about helping every student go above and beyond. Sure, the teachers helped us, but only for very small things, they would always focus on a few students and never help the rest. I love Animas because it’s not just worksheet after worksheet; you get to interact with what you’re doing and who you’re doing it with, and the teachers are always willing to help anyone that’s having troubles, inside and outside of school.
